Martinique Quadrille Festival of Dance and Music

We are very excited to announce that we have been invited to the Caribbean island of Martinique to perform at the Quadrille Dance and Music Festival which takes place 21st - 25th June in Ville du François. This will be a wonderful experience for us, and a great opportunity to introduce Cornish dance to the Caribbean!

12th May

Lanliery Feast Week ceili

On May 12th we performed a ceili for Lanlivery Feast Week in the lovely setting of Lanlivery Parish Church. This was a very lively affair, with young and not quite so young all showing a high degree of enthusiasm that kept our caller on his toes!

Back to Brittany!

We are delighted to confirm that Hevva will be representing Cornwall at this year's Festival Interceltique Lorient in August. We were first there in 2014, and feel very honoured to have been invited back.
The festival, located in Lorient, Brittany, is huge - the largest Celtic festival in the world, with all the Celtic regions and much of the Celtic diaspora represented. A ten-day spectacle of music and dance, and based on our experience there last time we can't wait to be back! You can find the festival web site is at

International Pan Celtic Festival - winners for Cornwall!

Cornwall usually manages to punch above its weight in the annual International Pan Celtic Festival competitions held in Ireland. 2017 was no exception, with two firsts and two seconds for Cornwall at his years event, held in Carlow. Seen below, left to right, are Stu MacQuarrie, winner of the fiddle competition, Lauren chandler, second in the solo category of the traditional singing competition, Stu again, this time with Jamie Toms as Macquarrie and Toms, winners of the instrumental duet competition, and The Grenaways who came second in the international song contest with their song 'Ster Kosel'. Warm congratulations to them all!

We are delighted to have Stu and Jamie among the Hevva musicians at Lorient in August (see above), where the Grenaways will also be representing Cornwall. Oh, and to round it off, Lauren, who has danced with Hevva, will be pulling pints behind the bar on the Cornish stand there!
